The Heavy-Oil Belt Skimmer (HOBS) utilizes one of the few oil skimming concepts proven during actual spill clean-ups to recover heavy oils and emulsions, such as Bunker-C.
Its rugged, structural, marine grade aluminum frame and stainless steel hardware make it ideal for use in a coastal marine environment.
Using either a forklift, crane or crane-truck the skimmer is easily transported for deployment on a shallow draft work platform of choice such as seatruck, barge or pontoon barge.
Various transfer pumps and hydraulic power packs can be provided or recommended based on user requirements. Minimum hydraulic requirements are 8 US GPM @ 1500 psi.
